Embroidery 04:33
Carry on, have faith my son The other side’s a truly beautiful embroidery You cannot see the glory of this scene My design shall set you free
2.
I hear the long awaited call Counting markings on my wall Too many days of my life gone But still too many left to come The guard is standing waiting My time has finally come Wandering of who I will become Clear the way! It’s time for me to breathe again I can’t wait To leave this hole to build my home I walk with some uncertainty What shall I do once I am free? How will the world outside greet me? It’s up to me who I will be! He’s pointing at the exit The door is open wide The sun has never felt this bright Clear the way! It’s time for me to breathe again I can’t wait To leave this hole to build my home

Fog of Doubt 00:53

Fatum 07:57
The book of time can’t pass me by Maybe I am afraid to die Who wrote this lines, this life of mine? I want to stay, I want to remain Who wrote this lines? This life of mine It is my voice but not my choice As much as I try to step out of it This rail of fate will only move along Is this the end, the path of death? Who wrote this lines? This life’s not mine Not mine! This plan of life I don’t seem to know, like an embroidery stared at from below Hints of an unfigurable plan This fog of doubt wont let me look that far But the worst thing of it all Is, no matter what I do This hate, this very song are already written down by you

Alright I 08:01
While everyone’s laughing I try not to think The blackboard so messy The bell sounds unclear I’m always avoiding To reach my so called home Where you haven’t been In a while Around us The dining room’s empty The trays in her room The hall not so fancy Failed endeavour I still hear the echoes Deep in my skin As I watch through the opening Of my door to your sin Why? And then you walk through the door Feeling unforgiven Leaving a memory from before Walk through the door Feeling unforgiven Leaving a memory That lives on and on
6.
Alright II 06:06
Everyone expected us to lead, to pretend But no one really knew the end So dad it’s alright, don’t blame yourself Just try not to fall to your grave Life just began Nothing has changed Now you can stop your run Life just began Nothing has changed Now you can stop your run So live knowing now That everything is fine Those memories will never die
7.
Uphill 04:35
Quietness uphill Kindred spirits, help me find Peace within this climb
8.
Pendulum 09:33
A moaning swing hangs from a tree A rusty chain, a cold oak seat You’ve had your run you had been free It’s getting late it’s time to sleep The tires move the gravel The echoes of those steps before I hear the opening of my door A shadow cast upon the wall That shadow, now it’s gone Now I won’t let this end Next day lies ahead Morning came, thoughts remained It’s up to me to rise again I see her walking by the door Surely a name I won’t recall To be alone seems not new at all Your shadow cast upon the wall Now I won’t let this end Next day lies ahead Morning came, thoughts remained It’s up to me to rise again Now that I’m here sitting I start to realize All those times I tried To rise to fall again To rise to fall again Now that I am here all alone Standing by the clock The pendulum just moves To rise to fall again To rise to fall again To rise to fall again That shadow, now it’s gone

about

727/5000
Walk the Rail, formed in 2013, is an emerging prog band from Santiago, Chile, influenced by a wide array of music genres, including (but not limited to) prog rock and metal (both old and contemporary) and post-rock. Formed in 2013, and after 5 years of work, the band released their first album, Embroidery, which delivers a wide sonic spectrum of dark atmospheres, soft melodies, heavy riffs, long-duration songs, varied emotions and the musicalization of a larger concept. Their first released single, Fatum, is a sample of this, since it contemplates melodic, dark, dramatic and emotional passages, and was the one used by the band to fundraise the album release through a successful crowdfunding campaign.

About Embroidery, the band comments: "It is born from an analogy of our daily life, by representing all the events that happen to us (problems, difficult situations, coincidences, etc.) as chaotic and random, without apparent correlation, much like the reverse of an embroidery, with its knots and scattered threads without any logic. However, if we turn the embroidery upside down, that is, if we change our way of looking at this chaotic panorama, we can see the beauty and magic that was behind all this chaos, and how our lives, if we look at them from the correct perspective, have another level of meaning. In this way, the songs of the album seek to capture this concept in different mundane situations that can happen in different stages of life. " 8 songs, 47 minutes, and a lot of content, emotions, and ideas expressed throughout the album.

The album was recorded during the winter of 2016 in Algarrobo by José Tomás González, from Estudio Martillazo en el Dedo, who set up a house and transformed it into a temporary recording studio. After a long process of editing and mixing, during the month of October of 2017, and with only one song published, the band launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance the mastering and release of their album, which was a success. This allowed the album to be mastered by Grammy winner Robert Hadley, who has collaborated with great artists such as Pink Floyd, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Ray Charles, among others; and later on release the album on March 28th, 2018.

Later on, and to improve the live and studio sonic possibilities, the band called Tomás Croxatto to join in and take care of the drums, allowing Diego to focus on the keyboard and percussion world.
